POETRY

REALITY

Reality only barks
Delusions can bite
Time is a spark
Space's engines to ignite.

And we move through
Onward in a fog
Content to misconstrue
In order to dialog.

With a security of self
Against internal doubts
To simply say the answer:
"I don't know."

Age is a relative thing
Our bodies disclose
But not necessarily our brains
Which may disagree
To think younger and more free:

"I think, therefore I am, I think?"

Only the question is relevant
Striving for a mind and body covenant
To express these common desires
In a safe place to conspire
That life's mysteries
Have yet to be answered.
