I have Romeo
Locked in my soul
Shackled up in wrought iron cuffs
Caught
No more pretty words
For the Juliets of the world
Desiring a romantic call
From Romeo's heart
Sought
Deep inside
Don Juan resides
Unable to fable
Living legendary love
White dove at rest manifests
Into the phoenix
Betwixt
Fires burning passion
Ashes of regret
Where Abelard sits
Bound tongue
Cat runs into Eloise's arms
Purring wink and blink
Flash of the eyes
Romance has not died

Love
Only withering away
Flowers dungeoned by weeds
No light of day

Great men of action
Trapped in my soul
Grow impatiently violent
Love's warriors silent
Far too long awaiting
Their female champion
Warrior of heart
Lover of body
Freer of soul

Romance shall rejoice again
Leaving behind my mind
Dungeon for a time
To all the legendary loves
Including the newest
Mine
