May 2009 Report-Texas

Fisher debuts new band and takes his music to a new level. What a great grouping for his Boomerz show this month. On guitar, Chris Devore tore up the songs and put a beautiful twist of classical and heavy rock-n-roll together with his ownership of the instrument. On drums, Eitel Coldberg kept the pocket while working the rhythms and changing the structures effortlessly. And on bass, Bobby Perkins step in and showed his prowess for tight grooves, quick changes, and tireless dedication to fun. Fisher rearranged many of the songs to suit extended jams, opening up the songs for the talent on stage. From noteworthy moments like the 10 minute plus versions of Let Freedom Ring, For Another, and Old Frog Charming to outrageous rocking like on SweetTooth, the band followed improved changes and proved worthy. A great addition to Fisher’s growing line-up of live talent for his shows.

Spring 2009 Report

Fisher is in studio for his second CD production of original songs. This will be another grouping of works focusing lyrically on relations, personal reflections, good and bad love, well, let’s just say this is a heavy reflection of Fisher’s personal life. Fisher is back at Bundyhill Recordings for a second time working with Tim Bond again, Fisher is taking his time with the arrangements and performers, once again trying to catch that magic. He says this one should be done by end of summer… we shall see. More to come about performers and such as the project continues.

THOUGHT OF THE MOMENT...

we start with the same basic rhythms in life, each with distinctly different subtleties emanating through the womb. Our mother's heartbeat resonates within a screaming swirling universe into which we are born. Within this movement is sound, anything that vibrates gives off, on some level, waves that affect its environment. By force of our nature, everything is motion, everything must sing and dance. This universal truth is undeniable.
